A few years ago, Grandpa and I took Sierra and Camden on a cross-country road trip to visit Cordell and Sarah’s family in Santa Clara, CA. I posted briefly about it then, but didn’t have time to edit the photos. Three years later, I have finally made it through the images, deleting bad or repetitive shots, adjusting cropping, etc.
There are still a zillion photos of the Grand Canyon here, but I couldn’t delete more of them. You see, we arrived at the Canyon at about 2:00 am so that we could see the sun rise over the canyon. We slept for a couple hours in the parking lot and then walked over to take some pictures. As the sun came up, the lighting changed dramatically over an hour or so, making each of these shots more unique from each other than might be readily apparent. Sorry for not being more disciplined, but I struggled to pick out ones to delete.
We had such a great time. Other stops along the way included a skate park in Asheville, NC, breakfast at a cowboy diner in OK, the Quarter Horse Museum in Amarillo, TX, the Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, Ventura Beach, dinner in Santa Barbara, the Pacific Coast Highway, and seeing San Francisco with Cordell’s family.
Anyway, there are a lot of pictures here to sit through, but at least a few fun ones of the kids can be found.
