Grandma is visiting for the week, celebrating both her birthday and Independence Day with us. We had a great time today at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham. This was our first time there despite having heard much about it for the past four years. I’m sure we’ll be back soon.
We finally acquired a tripod and remote control for our camera, so I may actually make it into some of our pictures now.
The kids made some great art for me for Father’s Day.
While walking in Chicago from dinner’s restaurant to my hotel, I heard singing coming from Millennium Park and decided to check it out. I was surprised to find a wildly designed pavilion with a crowd enjoying free, live music. I captured a few minutes of shaky cell phone video.

Last year, a friend of ours created two beautiful paintings for our living and dining rooms. Dana Wood is his name, and he’s putting together a website now to help showcase his work.
Believe it or not, there are occasionally moments when she relaxes a little.
